Holme Park - A Home From Holme
For almost 35 years, Ken Slater has been providing quality properties across Lancashire. He began his career as a plumber and worked his way up to owning his own property development company.
Until the turn of the 21st Century, Ken was content building popular, large detached properties, which were demanding ever-increasing values. As property prices began to rise dramatically in the late 90’s, Ken began to question how his children would ever be able to afford to break onto the property ladder.
It was this realisation that led to the creation of Holme Park Developments and the design of a new style of properties, which are in tune with the lifestyles of people today, affordable for first time buyers and accessible for all.
Holme Park Developments are renowned for their mews-style apartments, set in beautifully tended, peaceful gardens, some with their own water features. The developments offer secure, fenced perimeters and their own little, village communities.
Although Holme Park created these developments with first-time buyers in mind, the stylish apartments appeal to a diverse range of buyers. The new homes are ideal for those who prefer to spend time away (abroad or in the UK,) whilst retaining an established home base. Others may be seeking to downsize, but all appreciate the attention to detail provided by Holme Park.
Whilst local planners and other developers said the apartments would never sell, Ken believed in the concept and has proved the sceptics wrong. Having shown the theory was sound; Ken turned his attention to redeveloping disused factory sites and improving local communities; something Holme Park is passionate about. The company has taken several decaying factory sites and transformed them from eyesores to pleasant communities which enhance the local community and make it a better place for everyone to live.
